The Montgomery County SPCA is funded by donations from the general public and private businesses. Financing is not provided by any city, county or other local government. The MCSPCA is an independent, not-for-profit entity and is not affiliated with any national organizations.
The shelter expends nearly $500 on each animal that comes through the doors. This cost includes veterinary care, spay/neuter, feeding, supplies and everything that goes into caring for these creatures until they can be adopted. Cash contributions are always welcome, and are used to meet our most current needs, which vary from month to month. Please remember that the MCSPCA is a 501(c)(3) agency, and therefore, your contribution is tax-deductible.
